What is a good computer programming software for beginners?
i want to get into computer programming (something to do in my spare time) to like write software and stuff. im a noob at this and i want to know what is the best software i can use for beginners like me. because i have tried some stuff and its really confusing
There is no one ‘good’ programming language to start on. It also depends on part what you want to do with it. Many suggest Visual Basic because it use words more often than symbols. Java allows you to make applets (small programs to be run on a browser) easily online, but is more of a pain to set up. However, Java and the C family (I prefer C#) are all similar and if you learn one of them, it is easier to learn the others. Also, it will be a good idea to look at Object Orientated Programming, as many languages – including all I mention here – involves that.

For Java, check out this link. It is a free development enviroment for Java. The LE version is free and the Java itself is below that. But like I said, it is more of a pain to set up and the other two programs I mention does things to make learning easier.
