i have a purchase from amazon coming within the mail rite very soon. On tracking packages it says that it get a departure scan from New Jersey on April 2nd, at 12:45 AM. Its been almost 2 days and i havent received any characteristics of update (no arrival scan or anything). I recently have five old reel of 8mm film (family stuff from the 1950s) consolidated through a professional video verbs company. The resulting master I received is a 124-min DVCAM video digital tape. Ok, so i was fixing my table and my laptop fell off my bed onto the floor. It wasnt that far of a drop, but it fell.

since the laptop was dropped, some parts may be loose inside (if not, hopefully, damaged).

loose memory modules would cause your laptop to hang and stop responding intermittently. so find the manuals for the computer and then take out and put the memory modules back in (reseat).

now, this could also be the case with the audio card and other parts so you might want to call tech support for the computer. or just do it yourself, just dont force anything.

What’s a good external keyboard and external mouse for my laptop?

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000. To my knowledge, it has no special port for laptop connectivity. It does have four USB ports. I’d like to buy a computer desk with a sliding keyboard tray. I’d put the keyboard on that tray and the laptop on the desk, elevated by a laptop riser. I’d make room for the mouse on the keyboard tray, as I’ve done before.

Well, we have a Logitech MediaPlay optical keyboard and mouse. They work beautifully. No wires, no fuzz messing up things. Just a little mini-receiver that sticks in the USB port. If you remove the mini-receiver and then re-insert it a week later, the keyboard and mouse still work perfectly. When the batteries are low, a little taskbar message pops up. The devices will even work from across the room! The mouse has multiple buttons that make websurfing much easier; they are programmable, too.

There are many choices, so perhaps find a mouse that fits well in your hand and has the buttons you want, and go from there.

what color couch would work with a funky lime green naugahyde wingback chair?

I have a cool and funky lime green naugahyde wingback chair i found that i had to have, but it does not go with the sage green and black couch i have, so i am looking for a new couch but do not know what color to get. my livingroom has a subtle black asian influence with a asian style chunky coffee table and end table and black computer armoire. any help would be appreciated, i like white but have pets, and someone also suggested reds but not sure.
my wall color is wise owl, which is in the beige family and the flooring is oak hardwood.

Not knowing your wall and floor covering makes this tuff. What I suggest is this. Go to a fabric store and buy several colors of solid materials. Drape them on the couch and see what works.

In keeping with the asian theme I would look for a nice oriental rug that would have the lime green in it then grab a color in that for the sofa and tie them all together with some throw pillows.

Furniture in a small room?

UGH! I am redoing my room and I have a typical 11×10 bedroom (or something close to it). I am getting new furniture and I’m trying to maximize the space the best that I can. I’m thinking about lighter colored wood — I do not want white as I am older and would like to keep this furniture when I move out into a place of my own. A small desk just to fit my computer on … but what about the dresser? I have a flat screen tv that is maybe 30 inches or so… so I need something for it to go on & I have quite a bit of clothes.
