When specialized Laptop repair advisable?

There are numerous repairs, equipment that the average person can perform with out much problem. Things like installing CD-ROM, sound cards and different expansion cards are not very portable knowledge. How do you know if when you are by overhead and need professional help to pc?

Some pc repairs are difficult for the average person to do without causing harm to your PC or device peripheral. There are some repairs that are classified as grade rookie some intermediate and others as advanced. I have already mentioned some repairs I would call beginner level. Some intermediate repairs replace your disc represent expensive and put in a working system. There was a time when something was superior, but with modern operating systems Microsoft and Windows XP Home and Windows Vista operating system installations are not as superior as it used to be.

So what repairs not due to an attempt beginner? I would suggest things like replacing the motherboard. The need to replace the system board may come as much when you are able to update your motherboard to something newer, or when your laptop power kicks the bucket.

A repair of others warn against me based on software. There is clearly essential when a nasty virus or spyware program. It's easy to trigger a great deal of pain if you do not do well. You could lose access to information on your hard drive in case you mess up your working system. Now if you do not mind when it comes to information on your hard onerous more to reinstall your system work, while ensuring that hard disk format usually solve the problem of software. How fast could it be?Rip Blu ray Disc with CUDA

Movie enthusiasts, you gotta try Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper v3.7 if you wanna accelerate the conversion speed when backing up BD collections to PC. The software now lets you take advantages of GPU acceleration and rips Blu-ray and DVD faster than ever! News taken from the Pavtube official site— “Dec. 2, 2010 – Pavtube Bluray Ripper now takes full advantage of the latest NVIDIA CUDAtechnology to speed up Blu-ray ripping process. Now with a CUDA-enabled graphics card, the BD ripping speed is accelerated up to 3X faster than before, which saves you lots of time to wait around.”  

I was so excited with the news that I performed a Blu-ray ripping process with CUDA vs. without CUDA test on my PC last night. Pavtube Studio claims 3X faster speed and 96min for ripping Avatar Blu-ray to 1080p MP4 on 4 cores PC with CUDA support (check for details here), well I do not own a fast PC and it took much longer to rip Inception BD… Anyway, the results revealed that it is actually 2.7 times faster when CUDA is enabled! Here’re more details:

Test environment

1. Processor: Intel(R) Pentium (R) Dual CPU E2140 @1.60GHz
2. Memory: 1022MB RAM
3. Drive: External Sony BD drive with USB 2.0 USB cable
4. Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460, latest NVIDIA CUDA drivers installed
5. Operation System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional

Test tools and method

1. Source Media: Blu-ray Disc Inception
2. Software Tool: Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper v3.7.1.2290 trial version.

Test procedures
Step 1. Connect the external BD drive to PC, place in source Blu-ray Disc Inception. Ensure the desktop is networked. Install and launch the Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper v3.7 software (trial), click the BD icon to load Blu-ray Inception from BD drive.
Step 2. Select the main movie, click on the dropdown list of “Format”, follow “HD Video” and select “MKV HD Video (*.mkv)” as output format. Click “Browse” to set a folder for saving converted H.264 MKV files.
Step 3. Click “Convert” button to start ripping Inception to hard drive, and take down the test data when conversion completes.
Step 4. Click “CUDA” icon to turn off GPU acceleration, and repeats Step 1 to Step 4.

Test results
It takes 16hrs (968mins) for ripping Inception Blu-ray to 1080p H.264 MKV with CUDA off comparing 6hrs (362mins) with CUDA on. Both of the conversions generate MKV file of 9.64GB. And both the file plays great in VLC Media Player. To conclude, the Blu-ray ripping speed is 2.67 times faster with CUDA enabled. I’ll call it an acceptable result for such a slow desktop. Hopefully the Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper can do better in future. Anyway, wish you luck with the implementation.

• Trackpad problems not true. Mine works perfectly except for the two-finger scrolling is not important since there is a shift in the traditional side that works well.
